Question/Answer session The below has the question in text form, with a link to the audio form. The answer is typically in audio form only. The audio should open in a new window, close that to return to this page.

1 Ruth Rainero: I’ve known about this kind of software for years, and the main reason I’ve not looked into it was I’ve not had a computer which could deal with it. I now have an imac G5, so if you tell me it’s not compatible with a Mac, then I’m not going to ask any questions. In the event that it will be compatible, did they receive any training from you on how to use the software or was it self taught? And, is there software out there that is easiest for a singing teacher to learn and use? Audio link.

2 Paul Kiesgen, Indiana University: I think you said that this would measure something about the size/shape of the vocal tract, but you didn’t tell us how that works. I’d like to know more about what in fact it is measuring, and what we can get from this information. Audio link.
