1 Don Miller: I’ve heard you talk about this before and I never understood whether you ask the question when these people are phonating at 330 hz, you call that the first register transition. Do you instruct them to do that in chest or falsetto, do you record whether they do? Audio link.

2 Ingo Titze: I just wanted to make a clarification about interpretation of MFDR. It does truly as you say measure the maximum flow declination. Sometimes we are eager to think that that is also the speed of closure of the vocal folds, and that is not necessarily the same thing. You can have a maximum area declination rate that can be quite different from the flow declination. …… listen to the audio for more. Audio link.
