Elizabeth Miller, mezzo-soprano, earned her Masters Degree in Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music. She is a graduate of the Summer Vocology Insitute and is thilled to be a part of the NCVS team. Mrs. Miller also assists on the membership outreach committees for Utah and the Western Region of the Pan-American Vocology Association.
As an advocate and performer of the vocal arts, Mrs. Miller has been praised for her clear tone and ease in versatility in classical music. Her operatic roles include Lola in Caveleria Rusticana, Mother Marie in Dialogues of the Carmelites, and Mother Gibbs in Our Town. Recently, she made her Lone Star Lyric Opera debut performing Ethel in Jake Heggie's Again, and Paula Dean in Kelly Estes' American Shorts. Her concert work is equally varied, performing as the featured soloist for Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Beethoven’s Mass in C, and seven cantatas on the Eastman’s Bach Cantata Series. She made her Carnegie hall debut in 2014 with the Rochester Philharmonic in a concert production of Howard Hanson’s Merry Mount.
Additionally, Mrs. Miller has performed in a myriad of captivating concerts with the nationally renowned Schola Cantorum under the direction of Stephen Kennedy. Known mostly for her vocal agility in straight tone singing, Mrs. Miller performed alongside the world’s foremost Lutist and five-time Grammy nominee, Paul O’Dette, on a concert of Italian Renaissance Music.
